Robert F. Bodi

Partner

 

Robert F. Bodi is a partner at Pearne & Gordon LLP. He has extensive experience in preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the electrical, mechanical, business method, software, and engineering design arts. Bob has also rendered various patentability, infringement, and validity opinions in these various fields.

Bob has substantial experience in advising clients on copyright related issues, including copyright infringement counseling and litigation, especially in the area of Internet related copyright protection and infringement resolution.

Additional experience includes drafting and prosecuting trademark applications. He has handled a number of intellectual property disputes, including trademark opposition proceedings, UDRP actions, and copyright disputes. Additionally, Bob has extensive experience in drafting and negotiating various business agreements that are related to the use and protection of the intellectual property of his clients.

Prior to entering the practice of law, Bob was a systems engineering consultant for the National Wind Tunnel Complex (NWTC) employing a number of systems engineers to support that project. Prior to the NWTC, Bob provided systems engineer support for a number of NASA projects, including the International Space Station, the Advanced Communication Technology Satellite (ACTS), and the NTP/ETP nuclear propulsion projects, all for the NASA Glenn Research Center.

Bob is currently a member of a number of Professional and legal organizations, including The American Intellectual Property Law Association, The Ohio Bar Association, The Cleveland Bar Association, The Cleveland Engineering Society, The City Club of Cleveland, and The Federalist Society.
