Richard Sharpe is a partner at Pearne & Gordon LLP with extensive experience in the preparation and prosecution of patent and trademark applications, management of domestic and international patent and trademark portfolios and complex patent litigation. His practice focuses on the generation of infringement, validity and freedom to operate opinions, with an emphasis on counseling clients with respect to chemical, biotechnology and trademark litigation, validity and infringement issues.

Mr. Sharpe is a former Patent Examiner at the United States Patent & Trademark Office and also worked at the National Institute of Health in Bethseda, Md. He is also a member of the Cleveland Bar Association and the Cleveland and American Intellectual Property Law Associations.
