Gregory M. York, Ph.D.

Greg York is a patent agent at Pearne & Gordon LLP. He has experience in domestic and foreign patent prosecution.

Greg is currently a student at University of Michigan Law School and expects to graduate in May 2008. Prior to entering the legal field, Greg was a senior scientist in R&D at USB Corp., a manufacturer of reagents for life science research. Greg was also a DOE-Energy Biosciences Fellow of the Life Sciences Research Foundation and earned a Ph.D. in Biology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. At M.I.T., Greg conducted research on bacterial production of biodegradable plastics and on symbiotic nitrogen fixation.

Greg is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and the American Chemical Society.
